Jinjer Conquers Mars Music Hall With Special Guest Monuments

September 7th 2023- Metal powerhouse Jinjer along with Monuments invaded Huntsville Alabama's Mars Music Hall for their US Headlining tour. This was the first show as support for Monuments, taking over for Until I Wake.

Monuments started off the night by immediately bringing the energy. From the moment they took the stage, it was evident that they possessed an unmatched level of musicianship. The guitar riffs from John Brown and bass lines from Werner Erkelens were executed flawlessly. Monuments live performance transcended all expectations.

What truly set Monuments apart was their ability to connect with the audience. Andy Cizek's delivery and engaging stage presence created an intimate atmosphere. The crowd was swept up in each song's intensity, singing along and feeding off the band's energy. This was my first time seeing Monuments live, and I stepped away extremely impressed. They are definitely on my list of bands to see again.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Jinjer? Their live performance is nothing short of a musical revelation. As soon as the lights turned down, the energy of the crowd was through the roof.

Jinjer came out of the gate with the in-your-face song "Perennial" to set the tone that would carry through the entire set. The crowd really got to witness the emotional depth of the music with the ever so popular "Pisces" and "Judgment (& Punishment)" that delivered a powerful emotional punch, while "Who Is Gonna Be The One" and "Call Me A Symbol" had the crowd head banging and moshing.

Tatiana Shmayluk's vocals were an absolute force of nature. During "Vortex", her ability to seamlessly transition from her false chord screams to soaring melodies left the crowd, and me, in awe. The band as a whole really created a sonic onslaught that was impossible to resist. The stage presence and interaction with the crowd were also noteworthy. Tatiana engaged with the crowd, making everyone feel like they were part of something special. The light show and visual effects also added another layer of intensity to the experience.

In the end, Jinjer's performance was a breathtaking journey through their discography, showcasing their evolution as a band. It left me in a state of euphoria, reaffirming their status as one of the most compelling acts in modern metal. If you ever have the chance to see them live, don't think. Do it. It's an experience you won't soon forget.
