Get ready to “Walk on Sunshine” with Ice Nine Kills

Ice Nine Kills has us feeling good with their cover of “Walking On Sunshine” featuring Reel Big Fish. The cover will be featured on the official ‘American Psycho’ Comic Series soundtrack!

Listen to it here:

Ice Nine Kills

The song gives off so much energy. I felt like I was walking on sunshine while listening to it! It’s definitely the feel-good song of the summer. The band has used this song to hype up fans before they hit the stage, so it was not a surprise to me when I saw they recorded a cover of it. This cover has sparked much excitement amongst the community. Not only is it some fresh INK music to the ears, but this song also plays a huge role in the horror community.

As I stated above, “Walking On Sunshine” was originally featured in ‘American Psycho’ starring Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman. We see Bateman walk through his office building as the song plays over his headphones.

American Psycho

If you aren’t familiar with Ice Nine Kills they are a horror-themed metal band originally out of Massachusetts. Lead singer, Spencer Charnas, is and always has been a huge horror fan. So it’s no surprise that American Psycho would influence one of their future songs.

Shortly after the release of their album “The Silver Scream,” the band released “The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood.” Before the albums initial release, Ice Nine Kills gave us a few songs to hold us over. On July 9, 2021, they gave us “Hip To Be Scared.” If you haven’t heard it already, you can listen to it here:

You can catch Ice Nine Kills on tour this fall with In This Moment. (Avatar and TX2 appearing on select dates). Check the dates below and make sure to grab your tickets!
